Car Sales Brochures


This page is giving some background on my hobby of collecting car sales brochures. I have been collecting this type of publicity material already since the late 1960s. Since then I have been able to add an average of around 1.200 different items each year to my personal collection which has consequently grown to about 46.600 different passenger car and 3.400 light truck items at the end of 2005. I have acquired most of my collection by the following methods:

My favourite car makes are the following: TVR (on position one), Austin-Healey, Bentley, Gilbern, Lotus, Matra, Marcos, Rolls Royce, Trident, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, Honda, Volkswagen and Volvo. I however still collect all passenger car makes as long as I have the space to store all of them.

As I have acquired many duplicates over the past years I am always interested to trade these duplicates against items that are new to me. An impressive line-up of Modena's on the Nürburgring in 2000

The photo above is made at the Nürburgring in Germany at the yearly "Oldtimer" Rennen in August 2000, where the German Ferrari club always has a large presentation. Many owners of the new 360 Modena joined there on the club carpark and it's a large meeting place for lovers of this fine car make. There will not be many places where more Ferrari's can be viewed in one spot.

The picture of the F50 above is a stiff original postcard without any text or numbers on the back. I still have a few of these.
