TVR car models

Before the year 2000 original scale models of TVR cars were very scarce. However in the 21st century car model manufacturers have discovered the make as an interesting additional source to expand their range of miniature models.

This page will be divided in the following sections:

- 1:18 models
- 1:43 models
- Scalextric models
- all other models.

TVR models 1:18 scale

The first manufacturer that came up with a large scale model was Hot Wheels by Mattell. They issued the brutal Speed 12 in 3 different colours:
- british racing green, bright yellow and purple.

Recently new models of the Tuscan S came out by Jadi and Revell.
The Jadi model was issued in 2004 in no less than 3 colours: blue, yellow and black.
In the mean time 3 more colours have been released in 2005: purple, green and orange.

The Revell model of the Tuscan S has been issued in a nice orange colour.

In May 2005 2 new models in this scale will be introduced. One is the Tuscan Mk 2 in grey or silver and made by Sun Star. The other is the very aggressive Sagaris and that will come out in 3 colours: red, titanium and blue. That one is another Jadi model.
The first photo impressions are shown here below.

This is the picture of the Sagaris by Jadi in its final version. It's super nice!
Three colours are available: blue, red and silver.

TVR models 1:43 scale

In this category a number of models have been issued. Partly self-built white metal or resin kits and partly ready-built models.
Here is a selection of what I have been able to find so far.

The next 2 pictures are of a SMTS model of the Griffith 500 in dark (starmist) blue.

The following two models are from Spark, issued in 2004 and these show a Tuscan and a Tuscan S respectively.

The following models are the two TVR works cars, sponsored by DeWalt, that participated in the 24 hour Le Mans race in 2003.

The following models are the ones issued by Spark again, this time in colour however.

And these are new models by Spark which were introduced mid August 2004.
Here they come: 2 different Tamora Convertibles and 2 different T400 racers, with a third one further down on this page.

And the following two are the new models by Spark, which were introduced mid December 2004.
These are T440 R type (also called Typhon) which are similar to the models above, but this time not the race but the street versions.

In February 2005 two more models were introduced by Spark, this time of the T350 type in both the Coupe and Targa versions. There is also an open Targa version in bright yellow.

In total Spark has now issued 27 different TVR models in only 6 years, which is an amazing number.

The following models have been issued:
- 9x racing cars: 2 of Le Mans 2003, 2 of Le Mans 2004, 1 of Le mans 2005, 4 of the British sportscar championship
- 2x Tamora: 1 red and 1 yellow
- 1x Tuscan: 1 pink
- 1x Tuscan S: 1 pink
- 3x T350: 1 coupe, 1 closed targa and 1 open targa
- 2x T440: 1 red and 1 gray
- 3x Sagaris: 1 red, 1 gray and 1 cameleon

- 1 x V8 - green (1965)
- 1x Cerbera 4.5 - yellow (1998)
- 1x Cerbera Speed 12 (2000)

The following model is one of the latest from Spark and also visible now on their own factory website!

I also made a separate webpage with all currently known Spark models. To go to that page press here.

And the following 2 models are also Spark models of the Le Mans models, this time of the 2004 race.

The models in the picture above are made to order TVR models, fully handbuilt and internationally recognised collectors 1:43 scale models and measure between 10 to 12cm long. They offer TVR owners an authentic reproduction of each car in our range and can be specially painted using the same automotive paints and finish as on your road going version we can even custom the number plates to match (GB format only). For the TVR enthusiast these are a wonderful gift with your choice of number plate or name (maximum 8 digits). As standard the models are finished in TVR pearlescent purple with the 'TVR 100' registration plates if no alternate colour or number plate is specified on your order. There is no additional charge for personalised registration plates, but additional charges apply for the various paint finish options due to their varying costs. Each display model is hand manufactured in white metal alloy and undergoes authentic automotive paint finishes. Please note as these models are made to order and due to the popularity and manufacturing time deliveries can be at least 8 to 10 weeks so do please order in good time if they are for a special occasion. We will confirm estimated delivery time near completion.

Check out the website of the Grand Prix Models online shop to see many exclusive TVR models for sale.

This is the Cerbera, also shown above.

The next model is a hand built Chimaera by SMTS.

The Tuscan shown below is a Vitesse scale model. This now exists in 3 models and in various colours, which means that this manufacturer is also developing itself as a serious supplier of TVR scale models.

So far the following 7 Vitesse versions are known:
- Tuscan with open top: in sunset yellow (# 35701, a run of 2.400), silver and charcoal
- Tuscan with closed top: silver (lighter) blue (#35700, a run of 2.880), in chameleon (dark) blue (# 35715, a run of 1.968) and metallic green (# 35716, a run of 1.944)
- Tuscan S with closed top: in orangered (# 35740, a run of 2.424)

The following model is a Speed 12 in road trim.

The following model of a T440 R recently appeared on eBay.

And recently I got information on an older SMTS model of the V8S of the late 80s. Thanks Steve for sending me these pictures.

TVR models Scalextric

a limited edition Speed 12 model

The following model is the T400R, which exists in various outfits.

And here are some more Speed 12 models, all of Scalextric.

Here are two T440 models, also intended to race on the Scalextric track, like the 1:1 does on the circuit.

TVR models - others

The first group of pictures are of 2 scale models by Hitari.
For more information you might want to visit page 3 of the products page of their website: www.hitari.com.

Then we continue with some small scale models of the good old Matchbox range.

this is a Matchbox model in scale 1:64

and this is another one in a different colour

The following model is an issue from Bonzer Racing. Press here to go to their website for more information.

The next one is a ceramic model by Wade from the UK and it is a Chimaera as also shown on the number plate.

These are two models in pewter, a metal alloy and two of the very few models on the Wedge series, a closed Coupe and a closed Convertible. The manufacturer is Autosculpt in Sheffield (UK) and the scale is 1:32.

And here are similar pewter models of the Chimaera and the Cerbera.

And here we have an 'end of the Seventies' 3000 S Convertible.

Followed by 2 other early 1970s models: a 3000 M and a Vixen.

Here are some nice key ring models in miniature size.

The next 3 models are childrens versions of the shortened Tuscan, taken from a TVR site where they were offered for sale.

Whenever you have information on models that are not yet shown above, you would do me a favour when you would be willing to pass on that information to me. Thanks a lot. Press the e-mail button here or in the top menu bar!
